Hey everyone, I’m seriously considering this 2015 Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged and wanted to get some input from the community before making a decision. This is a stunning example of a full-size luxury SUV that really represents the pinnacle of Range Rover engineering from that generation.
The Supercharged variant is particularly interesting because it delivers some serious performance for a vehicle of this size and weight. We’re talking about a 5.0L V8 engine with supercharger technology that produces around 510 horsepower. That’s genuinely impressive for an SUV, especially one that tips the scales at over 4,500 pounds.
What I love about this particular model year is the refinement they achieved. The 2015 model benefits from years of development in the previous generation, so the interior quality is excellent, and the ride is remarkably smooth for something this large. The command seating position is fantastic, and the visibility is surprisingly good.
However, I’m also aware that Range Rovers of this vintage come with their own set of considerations. The fuel economy isn’t going to win any awards—we’re looking at mid-teens MPG realistically. The complexity of the systems means maintenance and repairs can get expensive quickly if anything goes wrong.
I’m particularly interested in hearing from anyone who owns or has owned one of these. What’s the real-world experience like? Are there any specific issues I should be aware of? How does it handle in different driving conditions? And what about reliability in the long term?
Also curious about pricing—does this seem fairly valued for the market right now? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Beautiful machine! The supercharged V8 in these is an absolute beast. I’ve had three Range Rovers and this generation is solid. Just keep up with the maintenance schedule religiously.
Honestly, I’d be cautious about 2015 models. The gearbox issues were still showing up in this year. Have you had a pre-purchase inspection done? That’s critical with these.
The maintenance costs are absolutely brutal on these. I spent almost $8,000 last year on my 2014 for suspension work, air compressor replacement, and routine service. Budget accordingly!
Sofia, this is gorgeous! The Supercharged engines are reliable if you treat them right. How many miles are on this particular one?
I disagree with the hype around these. They’re not as bulletproof as people claim. The electronics can be finicky and expensive to repair. Just my experience though.
That’s a solid specimen. Check the service history thoroughly. These vehicles respond well to regular oil changes and filter maintenance. The supercharger adds stress to the engine.
Love the Range Rover platform. The 2015 refresh improved the interior significantly. This color looks fantastic too. Going for it?
The fuel consumption on the Supercharged variant is worse than standard models, but the driving experience makes up for it. Drives like a sports car in a luxury package.
Sofia, make sure you check all the air suspension components. That’s where these models tend to nickel and dime owners to death on repairs.
2015 is a decent year. The infotainment system is dated by today’s standards but functional. The supercharger is the real star here.
Thanks for all the feedback! I really appreciate the reality check on maintenance costs. That’s definitely something I need to factor into my budget. The pre-purchase inspection is definitely on my list before committing.
These are thirsty beasts, but man, they’re fun. The supercharged version will guzzle fuel on spirited drives, but it’s worth it for the performance.
Range Rover reliability has improved significantly by 2015. This generation is genuinely better built than earlier models. The Supercharged variant is more robust than people realize.
Fair price point? Depends on mileage and condition. These typically hold value okay but depreciate faster than expected after about 5-6 years. What’s the asking price?
