Hey everyone, I found this incredible 2014 Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Roadster going to auction with no reserve on Bring a Trailer. This is a seriously gorgeous British sports car that’s been on my wish list forever. The Vantage S features a 6-speed manual transmission paired with a naturally aspirated V8 engine that produces around 570 horsepower. The roadster body style means you get that open-air driving experience that makes every mile feel special.

What really caught my attention is that this particular example appears to be well-maintained with what looks like consistent service history. The convertible top functionality is crucial for a car like this, and from the photos it seems to be in good condition. The interior shows the typical Aston Martin craftsmanship with leather and aluminum accents throughout.

The no reserve aspect means whoever wins this auction will actually take home the car regardless of final bid price. I’m seriously considering placing some bids on this one. The V8 Vantage S Roadster is one of the last naturally aspirated models before Aston moved to turbocharged engines, which makes it increasingly collectible.

For those interested in modern British performance cars or specifically Aston Martin models, this seems like a legitimate opportunity. I’d love to hear what others think about the pricing, condition, and whether this is worth pursuing. Has anyone here owned or driven a V8 Vantage before? Any insights on reliability or ownership experience would be really helpful before I commit to bidding on this beauty.

Looking forward to discussing this with fellow enthusiasts!

That’s a beautiful spec. The V8 Vantage S is genuinely one of the best-sounding modern sports cars. The manual transmission makes it even more special. Are you planning to bid high on this one, or are you waiting to see how auction momentum develops?

No reserve auctions on Bring a Trailer usually get crazy competitive. I’ve seen V8 Vantages go for way above estimate. Just be prepared for a heated bidding war in the final minutes. Still an amazing car though!

I have to disagree with this being a good investment. The maintenance costs on Aston Martin V8 Vantages are absolutely brutal. Scheduled services run $2,000-$3,000 easily. Factor in potential engine work, transmission service, and brake replacements – you’re looking at $10,000+ annually just to keep it happy. Beautiful car, but expensive to own.

The naturally aspirated V8 is honestly the best engine they ever put in the Vantage. Much better than the newer turbocharged versions IMO. This example looks like it’s been cared for well. What’s the mileage on this particular car?

Interested in this but worried about the convertible top durability long-term. Anyone have experience with replacement costs for these? Also wondering about weather-sealing when the top is down.

Thanks for all the feedback so far! Joseph, I appreciate the honest take on maintenance costs. That’s definitely something I’m factoring into my decision. Stefan, I’m actually leaning toward the NA engine preference as well. The sound is just irreplaceable. I’m thinking seriously about going after this one even with the ownership costs in mind.

The color on this car is absolutely stunning. Is it really a no reserve, or is there a hidden reserve? I’ve seen auction listings sometimes have buried reserves in the fine print. Better to check the actual auction terms carefully.

2014 model year puts it right in the sweet spot for these. Early enough to be properly developed, new enough to have modern conveniences. This looks like solid value for a Vantage S in roadster form.

I disagree that this represents good value. Aston Martin residuals have been weak lately, and the market for used V8 Vantages seems to be cooling. You might get better bang for your buck looking at used 911 Turbos or other comparable performance cars.

The manual transmission is what makes this special. You don’t get true driver engagement with automatics. Props to Aston Martin for offering the six-speed stick. That alone justifies a premium in my opinion.

Has anyone checked the service records on this specific car? That’s going to be the biggest indicator of whether you’re getting a well-maintained example or a problem child. Previous ownership history matters hugely on these British sports cars.

The roadster design is gorgeous but I’d want to verify the soft top condition extensively before bidding. Replacement tops aren’t cheap, and water leaks can become real problems. Otherwise this is a dream car.

Anyone else noticing how the British sports car market is changing? These Vantages are becoming more collectible as production winds down. Might actually be a decent investment if you can stomach the maintenance costs.

The V8 Vantage S is genuinely one of the last great naturally aspirated supercars. This is a car you drive for the experience, not the practicality. If you want it, go for it!
