I respectfully disagree with the notion that this was genius. The hot vapor engine was an impractical concept that never worked reliably. Yes, Smokey was creative, but creativity without practical results isn’t the same as genuine innovation. The fact it never reached production speaks volumes about its fundamental flaws.
