Thanks for all the input so far! The build sheet shows it was assembled by a respected shop in Germany with Volkswagen Beetle mechanicals as the base – which honestly feels perfect for the spirit of the original design. That’s exactly what Porsche did back in ’48. The simplicity is appealing to me, and maintenance should be straightforward with VW parts availability.
