The aftermarket support for Scout II is surprisingly robust. There are companies still making replacement panels and interior components. That’s a huge plus for restoration and maintenance.
Disagree with some of the praise here. Scout IIs rust incredibly fast if you live anywhere near salt or humidity. The body panels can start showing surface rust within a year if not properly sealed and maintained. This one better have solid undercarriage protection.
The interior on these Travelers is surprisingly comfortable for a vehicle from 1980. Good seats, decent storage, and that classic International Harvester dashboard charm. Would definitely be my choice over rougher Scout II trims for actual driving.
