That T6 engine is a beast. I’ve been following Volvo wagons for years and the XC70 represents some of the best design from that era. The AWD on these is really robust. Does anyone know what the final bid might reach on a no reserve like this?

I’m skeptical about no reserve auctions. You never know if the vehicle has hidden problems. Has anyone checked the Carfax or service records? That would be crucial before bidding on something like this.

The XC70 is an underrated vehicle. Not many people appreciate wagons anymore, especially premium ones like this. The T6 has decent power and the handling is surprisingly good for an SUV. I’d bid on this if the reserve was reasonable.

Maintenance costs on these can get pretty steep once they’re out of warranty. The transmission servicing, spark plugs, and other scheduled maintenance items aren’t cheap. You’re looking at $800-1200 per year in preventive maintenance if you want to keep it running right.

Love the styling of that generation. The boxy wagon shape has aged really well compared to other cars from 2013. The interior quality should still be impressive if it’s been well maintained. I’m definitely watching this auction.

Why would anyone want this when you can get a new crossover for similar money? These old Volvos feel dated inside and the technology is outdated. Modern vehicles are safer and more reliable.

I have to disagree with the previous comment. There’s something special about older Volvos that new cars just don’t have. The build quality is tangible and these vehicles are built to last. Plus the driving experience is more engaging than most modern crossovers.

The Premier Plus trim is the one to get. Heated seats, premium stereo, leather, panoramic sunroof – this thing probably has everything. If it’s been well cared for, this is a solid buy. Anyone know the mileage?

I’m from Sweden originally so I have a soft spot for Volvo. They make thoughtful cars with great safety records. This XC70 would be perfect for someone who wants something practical but different from the mainstream SUV crowd.

Thanks for the responses everyone! The maintenance point is really important – I should have mentioned that too. These are solid vehicles but you need to budget for upkeep. The T6 engine is proven and reliable though, not one of the problematic ones. I’m thinking about bidding myself because I’ve heard good things about the XC70 platform from owners online.

The AWD system on these is genuinely sophisticated. Better than some high-end systems from other manufacturers. The T6 has the power delivery you want from a turbocharged engine. This auction is worth watching closely.

Is anyone else concerned about the depreciation on these? Once you drive it off the lot after the auction, value drops immediately. At least the no reserve means you could potentially get a good deal.

Volvo wagons have become collector cars in some circles. This XC70 will only become more desirable as time goes on. Smart investment if you get it at the right price. The Premier Plus trim is the best variant.

I’ve seen these go for anywhere from $12-18K depending on condition and mileage. With no reserve, this could get interesting. The T6 with AWD is a premium combination that buyers want.
