Hey everyone! I just checked out the new interior photos of the 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE and GLE Hybrid from Car and Driver, and I have to say, I’m really impressed with what Mercedes is doing here. The cabin looks absolutely stunning with a modern, minimalist design that feels both luxurious and functional.
The new GLE interior features a completely redesigned dashboard with a horizontal orientation that extends across the entire width. The touchscreen integration looks seamless, and I love how they’ve incorporated the digital instrument cluster. The materials appear to be premium throughout – leather, wood trim, and brushed aluminum accents all seem to work together really well.
For the GLE Hybrid specifically, I noticed they’ve kept the same interior aesthetic, which is great because it shows consistency across the lineup. The front seats look incredibly comfortable with all the adjustment options visible in the photos. The steering wheel has been redesigned too, and it looks more ergonomic than previous generations.
One thing that caught my attention is the improved storage solutions throughout the cabin. There are more cubby holes and compartments than before, which is always appreciated on long drives. The rear seat area also appears to have better legroom based on the photos.
The infotainment system looks state-of-the-art, and the integration with the climate controls is much more intuitive than older models. I’m curious to hear what you all think about these new interiors. Are you considering the 2027 GLE? Which features stand out to you the most? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
These interior photos look absolutely gorgeous! Mercedes really outdid themselves with this redesign. The horizontal dashboard is such a smart design choice – it makes the cabin feel so much more spacious. I’m definitely interested in the GLE Hybrid version.
I’m not a fan of the new direction they’re taking. The minimalist approach feels too cold and disconnected compared to the previous generation. I prefer the older GLE interior with more physical buttons and a warmer aesthetic.
The maintenance cost on these new Mercedes models is getting out of control. Sure the interior looks nice, but have you seen the service bills? The 2027 GLE is going to cost a fortune to maintain over time. Just a heads up for anyone considering purchasing.
Those leather seats look premium! Does anyone know if they’re offering different leather options? I’d love to see what color combinations are available for the 2027 model year.
The infotainment system looks incredible. I’m assuming it has the latest MBUX software? This is the kind of tech that really makes a luxury car feel worth the premium you’re paying.
I really appreciate how much attention to detail went into these photos. The way the light reflects off the dashboard is beautiful. The overall layout is so clean and organized.
Does anyone else think the steering wheel design is odd? It looks overly futuristic to me. I wonder if it actually feels good to hold during extended drives.
Thanks for all the responses so far! I should clarify that these are official photos from Mercedes, so the quality and lighting are obviously pristine. In real-world conditions, the interior will still look great, but keep that in mind. I’m really excited to see these vehicles on the road soon.
The rear seat legroom improvement is what caught my eye. I spend a lot of time in the back of cars, and this looks like it could be the first GLE that’s actually comfortable for passengers on longer trips.
Anyone comparing this to the BMW X5 interior? I’m torn between the two brands right now. The Mercedes looks sleeker, but I want to know what the actual driving experience is like.
The storage solutions are a game-changer! I’ve always felt like luxury SUVs sacrifice practicality for style, but Mercedes seems to be bridging that gap here. This is exactly what I want to see.
I’m concerned about long-term durability of these touch surfaces. All that glass and digital controls looks amazing now, but will it hold up after 5-10 years of use? Physical buttons age better in my experience.
The wood trim options look really sophisticated. Does anyone know if that’s real wood or a wood veneer? Either way, it adds a touch of elegance that plastic trim just can’t match.
I have to agree with andrewmartin618 – these touch-heavy interiors worry me. Give me a car with some tactile feedback and physical switches any day. Mercedes is chasing minimalism too hard.
