The E-Type is untouchable in terms of automotive history. Any modern car comparing itself to that is setting a high bar. I hope Jaguar understands the weight of that legacy they’re invoking.
Looking at the specs, this thing is genuinely competitive with the Porsche Taycan and Lucid Air. That’s the comparison that matters now, not the E-Type. Those cars set the electric benchmark.
The autonomous features mentioned are pretty standard across luxury EVs now, but I’m impressed they’re not compromising on the driving experience just to chase tech. That feels very Jaguar to me.
