Hey everyone, I’m thrilled to share that I just acquired a 2022 Porsche 911 Targa 4S with only 6,000 miles on the odometer. This car is practically showroom condition and I wanted to get some feedback from the community about this purchase. The 911 Targa has always been one of my dream cars, and finding one this well-maintained felt like a stroke of luck. The Targa roof design is absolutely stunning – that retractable glass roof is such a unique feature compared to the standard coupe. The 4S model gives me that perfect balance of performance and daily usability with the all-wheel-drive system. I’m coming from a 2015 Porsche Cayman, so this is definitely a step up in terms of power and capability. The engine bay looks immaculate, and the service records are complete. I’ve always been meticulous about maintenance on my cars, so I’m expecting to keep this one for quite some time. That said, I’m curious about everyone’s experiences with the 992-generation 911. What should I know about long-term ownership? Are there any common issues I should watch out for? Just a heads up – maintenance costs on these can add up quickly. I’ve got a 2019 911 and annual service runs about $1,500-2,000 depending on what’s needed. Factor in tire replacements, brake fluid flushes, and you’re looking at real money. Still worth it though!

That mileage is unreal. Are you planning to do a PPI or take it to an authorized Porsche dealer for a full inspection? With that low mileage, you’re in great shape, but peace of mind is always worth it.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I’ve already scheduled a comprehensive inspection at my local Porsche dealer just to make sure everything is perfect. The previous owner was meticulous, so I’m not too worried, but better safe than sorry. Really looking forward to taking it on some mountain roads this weekend.

I disagree that the 4S is necessary for most drivers. The base Carrera with rear-wheel drive is more fun to drive and way cheaper to maintain. The all-wheel drive just adds complexity and weight you don’t really need unless you live in harsh weather.

I think you overpaid for just 6k miles. These are depreciating fast, and honestly, you could’ve found a better value with slightly higher mileage. But it’s done now, so hopefully you get years of enjoyment out of it!

The sound from that flat-six engine must be intoxicating. Have you heard it rev yet? The exhaust note on the 911 is legendary. Definitely take it somewhere safe and just listen for a bit!
