That 577 BHP is no joke. Mercedes really stepped up their game with this update. The AMG variant looks absolutely incredible from what I’ve seen. This could be a serious competitor in the luxury performance SUV market.

I have to disagree with all the hype here. Yes, 577 BHP is impressive, but is it worth the premium they’re asking? There are other performance SUVs out there that deliver similar power without the Mercedes badge tax. Just my opinion though.

The maintenance costs on a 577 BHP Mercedes-Benz GLE AMG are going to be absolutely brutal. I love the performance figures, but you need to factor in service intervals, parts replacement, and insurance premiums. This isn’t a car for the budget-conscious buyer.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! @hanast makes a really valid point about maintenance – that’s something buyers definitely need to consider. But I think for those who can afford the ownership costs, the performance package Mercedes is offering here is genuinely compelling.

Anyone else think 577 BHP might be overkill for an SUV? I mean, it’s fast and all, but do you really need that kind of power in a vehicle this size? Seems a bit excessive to me.

I disagree with that take. The performance is one of the main selling points. If you want overkill power, buy something else. The 577 BHP variant is specifically designed for enthusiasts who want that level of performance in an SUV package.

I’m torn between this and some of the other options out there. The Mercedes is beautiful and powerful, but I want to see how it performs long-term before making a decision.
