The insurance and liability issues around orbital debris are becoming massive. Satellite operators are going to start demanding better standards from each other, and rightly so.

I’ve bought three pieces of iron from Eastline over the past couple years. They’re definitely legit. Just make sure you read the condition reports closely. They sell some stuff “as-is” with known hydraulic leaks, and if you don’t read the fine print, that’s entirely on you. But overall, they’ve been straight shooters with me.

Thanks everyone for the early responses! David, I hear your concerns about reliability, but I think the 5000S engines were more robust than some alternatives from that period. The turbo system itself was well-engineered. Proper maintenance would have kept these cars running strong. Emma, that’s a smart question about costs – I’d definitely research that before purchasing.
