Reliability has been much better in recent Twingos. Renault learned from previous models. Seeing good long-term reliability data from independent testers. Nothing to worry about there for a new purchase.
Just avoid the older petrol engines if you can. Go for the TCe unit in the newer models. Much more reliable and better on fuel. My sister had an older Twingo and the engine had issues at 70k miles.
