Does anyone know if the fix is a software update or do they need to replace hardware? My dealer told me it might take weeks to get parts. The maintenance cost for this should be completely covered by Chrysler, not the owners.
Nice find! The 1962 model is considered the sweet spot for second generation Thunderbirds. Better engineering than 1958-1961, cleaner styling than later years. You’ve got a solid platform to work with here.
The maintenance costs on this thing are going to add up. Lexus luxury service isn’t cheap, and parts for these V8 engines aren’t getting any cheaper. Plan on spending serious money just keeping it in good shape. Just being real with you.
