This is exciting news, but I’m not convinced it will be enough. Ford’s engine lineup is just too strong right now. Unless Chevy delivers something truly special with this new V8, I don’t think it changes much in terms of customer perception.
The acoustic engineering aspect is underappreciated. Gear whine in high-speed applications has been significantly reduced through advanced tooth profiling and material selection.
