This is absolutely stunning. The LS3 engine in a 1959 Corvette is the perfect marriage of classic design and modern reliability. I’ve always been fascinated by quality restorations like this. The 5-speed is such a practical addition too. Great find, Ali!

I wonder if this will push BYD to develop premium models specifically designed for developed markets. Sometimes adversity leads to better products. They might use this as motivation.

Honestly, I think this is overblown. Japan is just one market. BYD is absolutely crushing it in Europe and Asia overall. One setback doesn’t define their global strategy. They’ll adjust and come back stronger.

I’ve always wanted to see the inside of one of these in person. The interior design is so 80s, but that’s part of the charm. How’s the condition of the upholstery and dashboard? Those can deteriorate quickly if not cared for.
