Thanks for all the feedback everyone! I should clarify that I’m really looking at this from a design appreciation angle. The unique badging and trim work are subtle but they do add character. I think Ford struck a good balance between evolution and respect for the nameplate’s history.
I disagree with the naysayers. The Kaiser Darrin represents a unique moment in American automotive history. Yes, it needs work, but that’s part of the restoration journey. If you’re passionate about it, go for it!
