The maintenance cost question is really important. From what I’ve researched, LS3 engines are actually cheaper to maintain long-term than keeping original powerplants running. Parts are abundant, labor is easier to find, and they’re just more robust engines. You might spend more upfront on the swap, but save money over decades of ownership.
