Decided to wait for the Hongguang Mini EV fifth generation. The fourth generation got solid reviews, but if this new version has the battery improvements mentioned, it seems worth the patience. Anyone else holding out for the latest model?

Anyone know the specific improvements in the fifth generation? I’m considering the Hongguang Mini EV and want to know if I should wait for this new model or grab a previous generation at a discount.

I’m impressed by what they’re attempting. The XJ was revolutionary for its time, and the E-Type is still considered one of the most beautiful cars ever made. If the new GT can achieve even a fraction of that legacy while being electric, that’s a win.

I disagree with the premise here. Most automotive CEOs are too focused on quarterly earnings and shareholder value to actually enjoy a genuine road trip experience. They’d probably be checking emails and taking calls the whole time.

Road trip soundtrack selection is underrated. I want a CEO who has good music taste and can DJ the drive. That might be more important than their automotive credentials, honestly.
