The manual transmission is what makes this special. You don’t get true driver engagement with automatics. Props to Aston Martin for offering the six-speed stick. That alone justifies a premium in my opinion.
The asking price on this seems reasonable given the work involved in an LS1 conversion. Quality engine swaps aren’t cheap, and you’re getting a car that’s actually usable. Better value proposition than an unmaintained original.
