      Sarah, those maintenance costs on the IQ can sneak up on you. Even though the engine is simple, getting parts like alternators and starters often means ordering online since dealers don’t stock Scion parts anymore. I’d estimate $800-1200 just to get one road-worthy again, not counting rust repair.

        This is a fun question! I think the answer depends on what kind of road trip you want. If you want to talk business strategy and industry trends the whole way, one person. If you want someone who actually enjoys the driving experience and can appreciate good roads and interesting vehicles, that’s someone else entirely.

          Another consideration: environmental impact. Would certain CEOs be committed to using electric vehicles or alternative fuels for the road trip? That could actually be interesting to experience firsthand with someone pushing that agenda.
