Be careful with the conversion work if you can’t verify who did it. Improper installation of a 5-speed can cause drivetrain issues. Make sure you have documentation of the work and get it on a lift to inspect the modifications thoroughly.

Convertibles are lifestyle purchases, not investments. If you love the Pebble Beach story and the car feels right to you, pull the trigger. If you’re trying to make a financial calculation, pass. At $19,995, you’re paying for the experience and the badge, not because it’s objectively the best deal out there.

The Dark Horse paint definitely turns heads though. I saw one at a dealership last week and it really does look premium compared to standard colors. Might be worth the premium if you’re keeping the vehicle long-term.
