Honestly, I think this is misleading. Most luxury cars are engineered for premium fuel to get optimal performance. Running regular gas might work, but you’re not getting the full experience you paid for. Why buy luxury if you’re going to compromise?
Fuel economy in real world is good but not amazing. I’ve seen people claiming mid-50s but that’s probably in ideal conditions. Most drivers will see high 40s which is fine but nothing spectacular for engine size and weight.
The Twingo is a decent little car but I wouldn’t call it exciting. It feels a bit basic inside compared to competitors like the Fiat 500 or Polo. Build quality seems average and there are some creaky plastics. Not terrible but not special either.
The minivan comparison is the most telling detail here. Tesla’s probably targeting the family vehicle market with something that combines their tech advantages with superior design. That’s actually a massive opportunity.
