I think this era represents Mercedes at their peak. The design, engineering, and craftsmanship are hard to beat. Sure, maintenance costs exist, but that’s the price of owning something genuinely special. Don’t let negativity scare you away.
Those 90s Mercedes interiors are so well done. I really prefer them to the newer plastic-filled designs. The quality of materials in the SL500 is just superior. You’ll probably enjoy driving this for years if you take care of it.
