I disagree with Philip. Several manufacturers explicitly state their engines are fine with regular gas. It’s not a compromise – it’s intelligent engineering. I’ve owned three luxury vehicles on regular fuel and performance has been excellent.
The Orion spacecraft’s heat shield is something I’m really interested in seeing tested. Re-entry from lunar distances is completely different from Earth orbit missions. This data will be crucial.
