The rust can be an issue on older models, particularly around the doors and sills. Make sure any used example you view doesn’t have hidden corrosion problems. Get underneath and check thoroughly.
I actually think this is good advice. Consumer Reports does thorough testing, and their recommendations are usually solid. I’d rather invest in something that will actually work when I need it.
