Have you looked into the electrical system? The original wiring harness can be problematic. I’d suggest replacing it preventatively before you start driving it regularly.
The maintenance costs on these can be brutal honestly. I looked into one a couple years ago and quoted some repairs – basic stuff like spark plugs and filters – and everything seemed overpriced because it’s less common. Factor that into your budget.
I know someone who owned one and sold it after two years. He said the novelty wore off pretty quick and he realized it wasn’t practical enough for his needs. Just something to consider.
