Those photos are absolutely gorgeous! The way the light hits the body panels in some of those shots is just perfect. The 911 Cup really is a beautiful machine. The camera work by Car and Driver is top-tier as always.

Catalytic converters, hands down. They clog, they fail, and replacing them is expensive. Plus they’re an emissions component so you can’t ignore it. Should be engineered to handle high heat and debris much better.

Those 1.3L engines are Toyota-based and bulletproof. If it runs, that engine alone might fetch $400-600 from a tuner or someone doing a swap into something else. Definitely worth considering.
